AIK was one of 16 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Invitational Cup 2016. They participated with three teams in Boys 05, Boys 04 and Girls 04 respectively. The team in Boys 04 made it to the the 5-6 in Play-Off Aand won it over IF Brommapojkarna by 2-0.
In addition to this, AIK have participated in Invitational Cup before. During Invitational Cup 2015, AIK had two teams playing in Boys 04 and Boys 03 respectively. Two teams played until Final in Play-Off A; Boys 04 lost against PAOK FC by 1-5 and Boys 03 lost against BK Höllviken by 0-1. AIK comes from Solna which lies approximately 5 km from Djursholm, where Invitational Cup takes place. The area around Solna does also provide six additional clubs participating during Invitational Cup 2016 (FC Djursholm, IF Brommapojkarna, Djurgårdens IF FF, Hammarby IF FF, IFK Stocksund and Saltsjö-Boo IF). 17 games playedGoals |
