Västerås IK was one of 21 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Invitational Cup 2014. They participated with one team in Boys 02.
In addition to Västerås IK, 27 other teams from 7 different countries played in Boys 02. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Västerås IK could be found in Group D together with Lørenskog IF, FC København and Hammarby IF FF. Västerås IK continued to Play-Off A after reaching 2:nd place in Group D. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Crystal Palace FC with 2-5. In the Final, Crystal Palace FC won over Skiljebo SK and became the winner of Play-Off A in Boys 02. Västerås comes from Västerås which lies approximately 90 km from Djursholm, where Invitational Cup takes place.
